The way Matthew had rushed off when he had heard the bells of the school left Lars with a small smile on his face. While others would be glad for an excuse to miss part of a class, Matthew was looking forward to it. Yes, he wasn’t like all the other students of his age. He was more mature. And that’s why it was okay for him to be dating with an older man, like the Dutchman. At least that’s what Lars kept telling himself.
He sighed. Who was he kidding? He knew it wasn’t right to have a relationship with someone six years younger than him. But that didn’t change anything to the fact that he was having that exact thing. Because specially since he just told the Canadian that he was willing to give it a try, he wasn’t planning on letting go of him any time soon. Maybe it was selfish to want someone like Matthew, but Lars chose to ignore that. It had been so nice to see him and feel him again. Lars wasn’t giving that up. He didn’t know if the other was aware of this, but Matthew had him wrapped around his cute little finger. Lars hated it to see him sad, or disappointed.
So after classes, the Dutchman changed into different robes instead of the ones he’d been flying around in all day. Funny thing. Normally he wouldn’t really have a problem with wearing those robes for the remainder of the day. But now he would have a meeting with Matthew...
Just before the evening meal would start, Lars made his way to the library. He had told the headmaster he wasn’t feeling well and would pass up on dinner that night. So nobody in the Great Hall would miss him.
The library was empty. Everyone would be in the Great Hall by now. Good, so nobody would accidentally see their meeting. The library was big, and had lots of bookshelves to hide in between anyway. “Matthew?” Lars asked softly when he entered the Charms section. He wondered if he was early, but with the Canadian’s punctuality he doubted that.
